Tabuk sits in north-western Saudi Arabia and is the capital of Tabuk Province, home to more than 600,000 people. Ringed by mountains and desert, it thrives as a green oasis with a welcoming community.
The city stood on the ancient trade routes between Makkah and Madinah, and gained importance in the Islamic era as a staging point during the Battle of Tabuk. The Tabuk Fortress and the rock inscriptions around it still carry that history. Beyond the city lie majestic mountains, wide deserts and hidden oases, with Al Ula and the Nabatean tombs of Madain Saleh close by.
